I've stayed here several times, this is the first time since renovations. As a walk in I got a night for $69.00. which is very reasonable for the area. The renovations are a huge improvement. This place is quiet and so far very comfortable. I would recommend it to all but those with the highest standards. It's not perfection but at the rates they charge here you get far more than a bargain.

The hotel was much nicer than I expected. I was a little afraid of the low price and some bad reviews on Orbitz, but it's obvious that the hotel has been recently renovated. The staff was incredibly nice too. The area is a little industrial, but the hotel is a wonderful value. We will be staying here again when life brings us to Fargo.

I love the rooms, very nice, beds comfy and nice big TV. Staff somewhat friendly. Only complaints shower curtains to short. Water sprays all over the floor and water. Buy longer curtains. Your ruining your bathrooms and turning moldy. So sad. Such nice bathrooms too.

I have read the other reviews, and I must say - this is my kind of place. ;) Seriously though, I like staying here. I'm not sure about the pool and hot tub as I don't use them, but it looks about the same as when it was the Sunset but with more restrictive hours. Sam (the owner) is a delight to deal with if you can get past his accent, he is there rain or shine. Whatever you want Sam will make sure you get it. I have had no problems with bed bugs. A big concern of mine as I have dealt with them several years ago, horrid time. I don't know about the other rooms but mine is bug free. I have been here on a long term basis, and it has been a wonder. I have housekeeping trained to leave me alone unless I ask for them, and it is a quiet place 99% of the time, which I ADORE. The biggest comment I can make is about noise. It has been a wonder staying here mostly noise free. I value my privacy and this is the place for it. I don't understand completely how it is so quiet but I value it - maybe people staying at an inn going through West Fargo are a cut above others.

I was hesitant with the reviews however I just needed a nice clean place to sleep after wrestling at Fargo dome and our room was nice clean and the front desk was nice. It’s affordable and clean. I don’t see breakfast but there is an ihop 10 mins away and a McDonalds 3 mins away. If you’re not looking for the extra things and just a place to sleep it was perfect the parking lot was a bit of a mess too many cars not enough spots but we found a spot . I will be booking for next year Fargo 2026!

Kind people working here! Thank you for accommodating me, during my stay. Slept great & felt safe enough as a single woman staying alone. Very clean room- didn’t see any bugs with my eyes! Only suggestion would be to add breakfast and get the pool fixed! They do have vending machines & coffee on site which is great! Also was granted a super early check-in which I greatly appreciated. I would stay here again, no doubt- and I’m looking forward to seeing a new pool as soon as you can. Thank you~

We located this hotel directly via Google and they had the cheapest weekly rates in town, which is what we needed. The staff is very kind and responds to any needs very quickly. They also serve you on an as-needed basis, but without being pushy or annoying like some hotels. They were very informative upon checking in and let us know one reason the rates were so cheap is because they're in the process of renovating the swimming pool, the breakfast area and parts of the hotel, so the pool wasn't open and no breakfast was included. They made sure we were okay with that before running our credit card, which l appreciated. This is the quietest accomodations we've had. This hotel isn't fancy, but the staff is all very polite, accommodating and respectful. When they clean rooms in the late mornings and early afternoons they are quiet. The maids here clean better, are friendlier and respectful, as well as quiet, and we love that. The soundproofing in our room also seems better than at many other hotel chains that we've stayed at. The beds and pillows are more comfortable than other hotels and we appreciate the warm blanket b/n the sheets and comforter; it feels more like home bedding. They do need to replace their very old and outdated comforters which have cigarette butt holes from bad guests in the past before they became smokefree. New, white, all cotton comforters would be great. This in has 2 undersized and overpriced washing machines ($5.50/load), but large and fair priced driers ($2.25/load). So I drive 0.60 miles to a 24-hour laundry mat nearby to wash our family's clothes in full sized washers for $2, and then drive back and use the driers here to dry them, and they work great, as long as you don't overload them. When we first arrived the lobby and hallways smelled like cats and cat pee, but the smell comes and goes. Our actual room smelled fresher and had a plugin air freshener. It started to bother me, so I just unplugged it and then the smell was gone and there's been no smell, which I prefer. The air conditioning and heating unit works great and has an accurate thermostat. The desk chair is super comfortable and the desk is large, which we appreciate. The mini fridge and microwave have worked well for us too, and we have utilized the dresser furniture that is below the tv - the top as well as inside the cupboards where there are shelves and generous sized drawers. My top reasons for the review: Great staff, it's quieter than most hotels, our room and my in-law's (who came after I broke my wrist) room, were and are cleaned properly, the beds and pillows are comfy and the pricing is affordable. Oh, and the proximity to the highway to Bismarck and into Fargo, as well as the proximity to stores and restaurants is great! Update on 4/13/23: I'm lowering my rating from a 5/5 to a 4/5. We're on our 18th night and the past 4 mornings we've been woken up in the 7:30am-8am range to a thumping sound, which could be part of their renovations; it's very annoying and unacceptable. That kind of stuff should be done midday, not in the morning. Also, the past 6 days our sink water has smelled like sewage/a sulfuric smell, which makes me want to throw up when I brush my teeth or clean my or my little children's hands. That's unacceptable too. Thankfully we only have 3 more nights here because our positive experience has gone downhill a bit. Although, overall I still think this hotel is not bad, and offers good value, especially at the weekly rate.
